Here's a quick Arch Viz project, took about 4-5 hours to create minus rendering time. Architectural design by me, Evermotion 3D Models of the chairs and trees used... mostly an exercise to create a strong sense of mood with lighting, and composition.

Looks like a success to me. Very nice. Reminds me of the Swiss Re building in London.

Being a test case, the first thing I would try to do is to add more to the picture frame - top & bottom, so that the pool diagonal line will hit the bottom right corner and the roof respectively hit the top right. I think that will make for a better composition...

Yeah could be worth a try...if I get some time I will give it a shot. Thanks for the insight!

That said the only thing about that idea is a strong tangency at both corners might be a bit too symmetrical? Sometimes cropping things can give a sense of something behind the camera, like a real photo... as opposed to something that was cg modelled for the camera.
