While working on a client project, looking for inspiration, I dug up this great house by JM Architecture. The Dolomites House is a great example of ‘White Supremacy’ interior with light yellowish wood floor and hidden lights spread all over to accent the design – exactly what I’m trying to recreate for my project. This house has been an inspiration to Bertrandb and hcpiter too. Each one of them has created a remarkable set of renders based on this house.

Some interesting camera angles and tall image proportions I’ve not seen many to use… might be handy depending on the design, work rather well in this case. I also really love the exterior shot taken under the pathway ceiling looking out towards the pool, very good balance and mix of materials to learn from.

The great thing about it and other images by Gordon Tarpley is that he kindly composed the process of his work from initial rendering to final image. These videos are very inspirational and are a rich source of information about how to postwork a render and add people, vegetation and amend it in many ways to achieve the desired and result.

This set provides very good reference for water, both calm and wavy, as well as white interiors and the combination of interior and exterior in the same shot.
